Changing negative thoughts to positive ones

One of our main instinctive needs is self preservation. We need to protect ourselves and with that, our survival. For that reason, the brain puts more energy and ‘thought’ in negative experiences than in the positive ones. Which makes negativity ‘easy’, as the brain is developed to protect itself from it. Ever heard someone say they thrive when all hell breaks loose? Ever heard someone say that they function better under distress? It simply is what our brain is hardwired to do.
